Ngatu

Malo e lelei and welcome back to my blog. Today we were reading a book named Ngatu. Nagatu is super important to Tongans. I learnt that Ngatu is used in Funerals,Birthdays, and other special events. I also learnt that it's made out of bark and it's really important to Tongan people. I think something's that keeps Tongans tradition going are making Ngatu. Also teaching the younger ones how to make Ngatu. Teaching your young ones how to speak Tongan. Taking part in making the Ngatu and also singing songs. Thanks for hanging around and I will catch you later with more of my work coming up soon. Happy Tongan Language week. GOODBYE

Why is it important to keep traditions alive?
It's important to keep it alive so it can move from generations to generations. Also it will bring families together and it will help people to connect to each other. It's also important to keep the tradition going because in the feature you might go to a event and you may not know what their doing so it's really important to learn the tradition and to keep it going.

What are some ways you could help to keep your culture tradition alive:
*Learn the tradition young
*Past it on to the next generation
*Learning some songs and dances
