Inferring - with poetry

 

                                                                       Task description:

Today our class looked at a poetry. We learned that poetry's don't use chapters we also learn that poetry's can cause us to see pictures in our mind.

Ki te aha?

 

Today for Te Reo we learnt some new Maori words. Our phrase for today was Ki te aha? which means What For . We answered each questions in each slide in Maori. We then had to answer by saying Kei te haere au ki __? and then put in the word like Kura which means school. Then we had to answer with Ki te __ and then put in a like Akona which means learn. At the end we had to do a create task. Hope you enjoy !.

Today we had a Te reo Maori meet. We learnt some country names in Maori. We filled in the answers in the questions and also learnt how to say the names of the countrys.

Today we learnt some new things about what Maori people do while they go to the marae. We had to fill in some questions and also do our create task at the end.

Today we had our Te reo meet. We learnt some names of food with our teacher. We filled in the questions and made our own create task at the end!. 

Two way probability tables

 

Today I decided to work on maths. The task I chose to work on was Two way probability tables. I had to fill in the answers and also do a little test at the end!.  

100 word writing

 

On a sunny day, my family and I went to a theme park! As we entered the entrance, we saw a multiple of rides to choose from. Everything appeared to be entertaining, and everyone appeared to be having a good time. As we walked around the park looking for more rides, we noticed some cool super hero statues on the roofs of the shops.We continued walking and saw a tall roller coaster that looked very scary and like it would give us butterflies, as we rode the roller coaster, it went up high and we all yelled, "ITS GOING DOWNNNNN!!!"

Today in our literacy class we had to write an 100 word writing about any picture.

Today we had Te reo and we learnt about What does it cost? in Maori.

Tuvalu maths

 

Today for our maths task we did some Tuvalu Maths. What we did in this task was x-axis y-axis, length and width, and also graphs.

Our next task for today was we had to write any type of story about the categories we got. My story was all about "As if you have just gotten off the Plane and arrived in Tuvalu". This was my story. Feel free to comment if I had some mistakes!.

Tuvaluan language week!

 

This week it is Tuvaluan language week so we are learning things about Tuvaluan language. Our first task for today was to translate the English words on the left side to Tuvaluan words. 

Tongan Language Week

 

Last week it was Tongan Language Week and we were set on a task to make something that was Tongan. I decided to make a kahoot that had questions about Tongan culture. I even got to present it to my class, and they were all really competitive. You can even try my kahoot by clicking on slide 7 .It was really hard to find the answers to the questions. Figurative Language

 

Today for our literacy task we learnt about "Figurative Language", figurative language is all about metaphor,similes, hyperbole and other things. We watched a video all together and throughout the movie it had some questions on what figurative language we should pick for some sentences the characters said in the video. Then for our task we had to fill in the gaps for each of these sentences and explain some of them!. I hope you enjoy my work and feel free to comment!.

Confidence in Coordinates

 

Today for our maths task we had more work about Coordinates. We had to find where the places coordinates were and on the second slide we had to do Coordinates of translation like the x axis and the y axis. Coordinates Conundrums

 

Today for maths I have been finishing off my work. Here is my coordinate Conundrums. What we had to do was try and figure out which coordinate was the places placed at. At the end there is a slide that shows you about Latitude and Longitude. Hope you enjoy!.

Hero Documents

 Jesus is an hero to many people and he has done so many things for people that have been suffering  and many other reasons. Jesus is a lovely/loving and caring person to many of us. So in my opinion Jesus is my hero because..

Reason 1: Jesus sacrificed his life on the cross for us and died for our sins and Jesus sacrificed his life on the cross for us and died for our sins.

Reason 2: Jesus is a loving and caring person, Why? Well you may know that Jesus hates sinning right?, but yet Jesus cared for the sinners and sat down and ate with them and it tells us in Mark 2:13-17.

Reason 3:Jesus has healed many people that were sick and even suffering and . In Mark 8:22-26 it tells us that Jesus healed a blind man and in Mark 7:31-37 it also says that Jesus healed a man who was deaf and muted.

Now that you have listened to my speech and about my hero. Now you know that Jesus is my number one hero and that he has done a lot of things for us. If  Jesus didn’t come and sacrifice his life for us we wouldn’t be on this earth right now. Is Jesus one of your heroes? .I do have many other heroes like my mum,dad or even my siblings, but Jesus is my number one hero because he has done so many things for me in my life and he has sacrificed his life for us, but other than that thank you for listening to my speech and remember Jesus loves you!.

Kei hea Koe?

 

This week we had Te Reo Maori. We learned all about different words in Maori. We had to come up with our own sentences to fill in the blank boxes and search up things like tables, chairs, fences, and other things in Maori. Then at the end, we had to create our own create task!.

Drama Class

 

Today the whole of team 5 got a choice to pick which group they wanted to go to. I picked drama because I wanted to try something new. Today we learnt all about drama and what is drama, we learnt that drama is like radio plays, stage play , telly plays and other plays that you can name or think of. what we did for today was Miss Hill picked out different emotions that we had to do and the topic we had to do the emotion about. One topic was " when your friend gives you a big surprise" we had to show our emotions of happiness, but then the topic changed it was " but then when you dig into your surprise and found out it was only a earring from the 2 dollar store" we had to act out what we thought about that. At the end of our session we also played a song and danced to it and showed our emotion and froze to the song. Today's drama class was so fun and also funny. I hope we get to do more of this next week !!.
