How to be a good host
Being a good host is important to us. It is important to show your visitors how clean and caring your family is. In the next paragraph I am going to explain ways you can be a kind and good host to your visitors.
Whenever someone knocks or pulls up their car in your car park. Then always welcome them in. Never welcoming them in is disrespect and rude in my culture. Always act like you are glad when you welcome them in even though you don’t want them to come in.
When the guests are sitting down and talking to you offer something to eat and drink for them. If they don’t want it just leave it on the table for them. When it's almost time to have a big meal. Tell them to come on to the table. Which in my culture is what we say, faamolemole sau i luga o le laulau ma ‘ai. It means please come on the table and eat .That will show the guest that your family is lovely.
After you guys have eaten your meal sit down and watch tv and talk about something. Maybe talk about how their day was or talk about family. In our family when we have families over and watch tv we sometimes talk about church or rugby. It is also important to keep the conversation going.
When it’s time they are going to keep them to stay for a little while. When they are going and leaving say goodbye to them. It’s also important to give them something before they leave. Give them food or something when they are leaving.
Being a good host is welcoming them into your house and acting like you want them in. It is also important to offer them something to drink or eat and if they say no still put on the table for them and that’ll show respect. Trampoline safety
Safety rules for trampolines!!!!!!
Rules are important. They are important to know and understand to stay Happy,Stay and to enjoy. Rules are helpful because it will help you to keep safe and to enjoy .In my next paragraph I am going to write an (eg.) about why you need to be safe and to read the rules before you enter.
You should be very safe when entering the trampoline. It may contain danger. Here is an (eg.) to always read the rules before you enter . For (eg.) If you go to a pool and you don’t read the rules and you dive in the pool then you may break your neck. That's why it’s always important to follow the rules before you enter. Always listen to the rules first.
When you enter the trampoline it is also kind to be sharing the trampoline and entering 2 at a time. Also to enjoy and have fun on the trampoline and to share, be kind and enjoy with others. Also to treat the gear probably and to always enjoy. Always remember these three things. Keep yourself Happy,Safe and enjoy yourself.
When you enter the trampoline you always remember to give space to each other. Or else you may bump into each other. Space is another important rule and to always remember to give space so no injuries happen and so everyone can enjoy playing and jumping on the trampoline.
You should always be safe when you enter the trampoline because sometimes it may contain danger and serious injuries. Like when you enter the pool and don’t read the rules you may break your neck. It is also kind to be sharing with each other and treating the gear probably so the next day you can have fun and enjoy the trampoline again. When you enter the trampoline it is also important to give space to each other because you may bump into each other and get hurt. So it’s also important to give space.

Letter to Mrs Tele'a
Dear Mrs Tele’a,
Paragraph 1: Introduce who you are (things like your culture, family, age)
Talofa lava and other greetings. My name is Zoe. My other name is Lilly but I'm used to my family saying my name Lilly. I am 11 years old turning 12. I have 2 brothers and 5 sisters but 1 of my sisters passed away. There are 9 kids in our family. My mum had twins but unfortunately they passed away and my older sister too. My dad is Samoan and my mum is also Samoan but there are some other cultures that they are. My dad is half Samoan and half German and my mum is Tongan,Samoan,Wales,Fijian,German. But all my siblings, my parents and I are used to Samoan. We can only speak full samoan and english. I am the youngest out of all my siblings and I enjoy being the youngest in our family. It's fun being the youngest.
Paragraph 2: What are some of your interests or favourite things ?
Some of my interests are Basketball,Netball and volleyball. I play all those sports. My favourite basketball team is the Lakers and my favourite player is LeBron James. The Lakers really inspire me and when I watch them it makes me learn more about basketball. I love basketball so much this year I want to play basketball again. Also my favourite netball team is the Silver ferns. My favourite player is Maria faloua but she retired but she still inspires me to play netball and to try my best netball is my second favourite sport and basketball is my favorite I love both sports and both sports really helps me with my shooting. I also like playing rugby. My favourite NRL team is the Broncos. They are my number 1 team I love. My favourite player is Jamayne Isaako even though they lost they still tried.
Paragraph 3: What do you like and dislike at school? What are your goals for 2020?
My favourite subjects are Maths and Writing. I really like doing maths with my friends because it’s fun and it makes me enjoy maths. What I like about writing is that it’s just fun to do and I get to learn about new things and I get to write about it and it inspires me to write stories and other stuff like that. But what I don’t like is reading. When I'm stuck on a word I get nervous and I don’t like it because it’s embarrassing. But what I’m going to try and do is to read more books and learn it and get used to the habit of getting stuck on a word and sounding it out by myself. When I’m learning I like learning on my chromebook because it’s easier and it’s fun because we get to search things on the internet and get to type it on our chromebooks. My goal for this year is to finish off my work and to do more reading and to get on a higher level for reading.
Paragraph 4: What does a good teacher do? How can Mrs Tele’a support you this year?
What Mrs Tele’a does for me to help me is to push me to read more and more and to also to not talk when I’m doing my work. Also help me when I’m sick on anything and to push me to sound the words out by myself and to also do better at my times tables in maths and to also push me to post more stuff on my blog. Also to finish off my work and to stop talking to others well I’m doing my work and to search for new things so I can post more on my blog and show people that I am a girl that likes to learn new things.
Is there anything else you would like Mrs Tele’a to know about you?
What I also want Mrs Tele’a to know is that I like to talk so much and I sometimes don't finish off my work sometimes. Also, I don’t know how to swim and that I like dancing. My favourite type of dancing is hip hop. I've been dancing since I was little and I really loved it and I still love dancing. I also dance with my sister Hope we always dance and play music together. I am also feeling confident being in Mrs Tele’a class this year. Also my favourite colour is lime green and my favourite ice cream is berry berry and Cookies n Cream.

Paul Jennings information. Mrs Tele'a is the best.
For 2020 this year I am in a reading group called Jennings. It is named after a man named Paul Jennings. He was born in the UK but when he was 6 he moved to Australia. In 1949 he and his family moved to Australia. He was born on the 30 of April 1939 in Heston. He went to a school named Bentleigh West primary school and went to a university called Monash university. Two of his books that look interesting to me are Funniest stories and Unreal. He is 76 years old and he has 6 kids. Paul Jennings has written more than 20 books all together. He has written 51 books. This is what I know about Paul Jennings and i’m going to really enjoy learning about him. He has won awards for Young Australia' Best book award for 12 times, Canberra's own outstanding list award for 7 times, West Australian young readers for 6 times, south Australia Crow award for 3 times and Kids own Australian Literature award for 3 times and more awards he has won.
