Today at assembly Jenny Salesa who works at the parliament came to visit us and talk with us. We learnt a lot of different things about her. She showed us a virtual box which can show you what they do in the parliament. 

Kei hea a?

 

For Te Reo Maori our task was about Kei hea a? which means Where is?. Our task was to finish off the little questions on the slides and create our own create task. Look at the last slide to see my create task!.

Kauaeranga Valley Christian Camp

 

For our work, we had to reflect on what we did at camp last week on Wednesday. It was really fun we didn't want to come back. We did all sorts of different things at camp. In the photo, you can see things we did, had, and done. My favorite highlight was the camp search. We did it so fast we beat the record which was 23 mins but my team did it in 14 mins. I loved camp so much I wish to go there sometime again.

Today for writing we practised different kind of things. We coloured the nouns and verbs and more and answered a few questions. If you check through the slides you can see what we did.

This is my homework inquiry work. We had to create a fact file and put in facts about the sun. Here is my facts about the sun!. These facts were really interesting and I hope you enjoyed it!!.

How were other planets discovered?

 

Today in literacy we learned about a man named Galileo. He had a telescope and discovered about the sky. We went on different websites and read about him. We also learnt that he was a professor of mathematics  .We did a create task and more hope you enjoy.

Today for our inquiry work we did Science. For this term, our topic is Watch This Space. We are learning about different kinds of planets and also space. Here is my presentation for you!.

Why is there only life on Earth?

 

For reading we learnt more about Planets/Earth. We learnt about the Goldilocks Zone. We also learnt about why we can't live on the other planets. 

Planet Earth

 

Today for our reading we read a book named "Planet Earth" It was all about a alien going to Planet Earth an and getting evidence that he went there. We answered some questions.  

Pipe cleaner challenge

 Today in literacy class our teacher set us up on a challenge. We split into 8 different groups. Our challenge was to try and build the tallest tower out of pipe cleaners. Our norms we use were Participate,partnership, protection and communication. We all worked as a team and made a great tower !.
